The most anticipated day of the week inside the Bigg Boss 20 house finally arrived. Episode 42 marked the return of host Salman Khan for the explosive Weekend Ka Vaar. Following a week packed with a shocking midnight physical brawl, midnight evictions, and major kitchen tantrums, Salman Khan had plenty of issues to address.
As expected, the superstar host did not hold back. The episode was a fiery reckoning for several housemates, with Salman slamming the contestants for their behavior during the Nakul Dhull and Kushal Tanwar (Gullu) altercation.
Here is a complete written update and breakdown of the biggest highlights from Bigg Boss 20 Episode 42, including Salman’s harsh reality checks and the looming eviction threat!
Salman Khan Addresses The Physical Brawl
Salman Khan opened the Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode with a highly serious tone, completely bypassing his usual lighthearted banter. He immediately addressed the elephant in the room: the violent midnight physical altercation between wildcard Nakul Dhull and Gullu that resulted in Nakul’s immediate, overnight eviction.
Salman reiterated that Bigg Boss has a strict, zero-tolerance policy against physical violence. He praised the housemates who stepped in to stop the fight but was furious at how some contestants reacted afterward.
The host directed his anger specifically at Luv Gill. Echoing Aasif Khan’s earlier complaints, Salman heavily reprimanded Luv for showing sympathy to Nakul right before his eviction. Salman questioned her moral compass, asking why she felt the need to comfort a contestant who had blatantly broken the biggest rule of the house and endangered another housemate’s safety. Luv attempted to defend herself, stating she was just trying to calm the situation, but Salman quickly shut down her excuses.
Captain ScoutOP Gets A Reality Check
The new house captain, ScoutOP, also found himself in the firing line. Salman Khan questioned his leadership and inability to control the escalating tensions in the house before they resulted in physical violence.
Salman pointed out that while ScoutOP won the captaincy task, his actual authority in the house is severely lacking. He warned the gamer that if he continues to take a back seat during crucial arguments, his captaincy will be considered a massive failure.
Exposing the ‘Fake’ Personas: Kanika vs. Qazi
Moving away from the violence, Salman shifted his focus to the shifting alliances and backbiting in the house. He directly addressed Kanika Mann’s recent late-night conversation where she accused fan-favorite Qazi Touqeer of maintaining a fake, 40-day strategy.
Salman confronted Kanika, asking her to explain her “40 din wahi kar raha hai” comment in front of Qazi. A visibly uncomfortable Kanika tried to justify her stance, claiming that Qazi’s extreme calmness feels unnatural for a reality show. Qazi, maintaining his composure, defended himself by stating that he doesn’t need to scream or fight just for the cameras to prove his authenticity.
Salman left it to the audience to decide whose game is genuine, but he warned Kanika that constantly talking behind people’s backs rather than confronting them makes her look like a weak player.
The Looming Eviction
The episode ended on a highly tense note. With a staggering 11 contestants—including Qazi Touqeer, Yung DSA, Gullu, ScoutOP, Kanika Mann, Love Gill, Arishfa Khan, Aman Gandhi, Uditi Singh, Mary Kom, and Mahhi Vij—nominated for eviction this week, Salman reminded them that someone’s journey is about to end.
While early voting trends suggest Qazi and Yung DSA are safe, Salman hinted that a major shocker is waiting for the housemates in Sunday’s episode.
