The press conference for the upcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards held in Mumbai was a dazzling, star-studded affair. Bollywood heavyweights including Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Rashmika Mandanna descended upon the stage, setting the tone for the upcoming cinematic celebration.
However, amidst the glamour and formal announcements, it was the candid, off-script moments that completely stole the show. A video from the event has taken social media by storm, featuring Salman Khan bringing his trademark unfiltered humor to the stage by playfully teasing Shahid Kapoor right in front of Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Here is a complete breakdown of the hilarious viral video, the nostalgic Jab We Met reunion, and all the major highlights from the IIFA press conference!
‘Inhone Mere…’: Salman’s Playful Banter
Salman Khan is known for his spontaneous wit, and he did not hold back during the IIFA press conference. While sharing the stage with Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, Salman seized the opportunity to pull Shahid’s leg.
In a viral clip currently dominating X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, Salman is seen playfully teasing the Kabir Singh actor. Gesturing towards Shahid, Salman jokingly remarks, “Inhone mere…” (He has my…), leaving the rest of the sentence to the imagination and sparking a wave of laughter across the venue.
What made the moment even more interesting for eagle-eyed fans was the presence of Kareena Kapoor standing right next to them. Given Kareena and Shahid’s highly publicized past relationship, fans couldn’t help but notice the slightly awkward yet hilarious dynamic as Shahid blushed and laughed off Salman’s classic leg-pulling while Kareena smiled along.
The Cordial ‘Jab We Met’ Reunion
While Salman’s humor had everyone in splits, another video from the same event sent Bollywood fans into a collective meltdown. Ex-flames and Jab We Met co-stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor were seen exchanging pleasantries on the stage.
The duo, who delivered one of Bollywood’s most iconic romantic comedies before parting ways years ago, showcased immense grace and maturity. In the clip, Kareena is seen saying something to Shahid before the two warmly greet each other and share a cordial hug with bright smiles on their faces. Netizens immediately flooded social media with comments, expressing their joy at seeing ‘Geet’ and ‘Aditya’ sharing a frame and a friendly embrace after so many years.
Both actors have since moved on and built beautiful families—Shahid with Mira Rajput, and Kareena with Saif Ali Khan—but their respectful public equation continues to win hearts.
Salman Khan Wins Hearts With A Young Fan
Apart from the stage banter with his industry colleagues, Salman Khan proved exactly why he commands such massive fan devotion. Amidst extremely tight security at the event, the Tiger 3 superstar noticed a young girl trying to meet him.
He allowed the little fan to approach him, interacted with her warmly, and signed the poster she was carrying. In a deeply heartwarming gesture, he returned the poster and kissed her gently on the forehead. Salman was also seen warning the paparazzi about their camera angles while posing for pictures, ensuring everyone’s comfort and safety.
With such an explosive and entertaining press conference, the actual IIFA Awards ceremony is gearing up to be an unmissable Bollywood spectacle!
