Popular Indian vlogger and YouTuber Sourav Joshi has found himself at the center of yet another massive social media controversy. A 23-second clip from his recent Goa vacation vlog featuring his wife, Avantika Bhatt, has gone viral for all the wrong reasons. The video has sparked intense debate across social media platforms, with viewers questioning the YouTuber’s editing choices and labeling the retained footage as “inappropriate.”
From accusations of intentional clickbait to severe trolling, here is a detailed breakdown of the controversy surrounding Sourav Joshi’s latest Goa vlog.
The Controversial Goa Vlog Clip
The backlash stems from a recent vlog where Sourav Joshi was documenting his Goa vacation with his wife, Avantika. During a segment where Sourav was giving his audience a room tour and stepping out to show their private pool, the lighting severely compromised Avantika’s outfit.
Due to the bright outdoor light, Avantika’s dress appeared completely transparent on camera. The primary issue raised by the audience was not the wardrobe malfunction itself, but rather the fact that the 23-second clip was retained in the final edit. Viewers were left baffled as to why the creator did not cut the compromising footage before making the vlog public to millions of subscribers.
Netizens Slam The YouTuber: Accidental or Intentional?
The clip quickly surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, drawing severe criticism from netizens. The overarching question online is whether Sourav intentionally left the clip in the vlog to generate controversy and views, or if it was a careless editing blunder.
Social media users heavily criticized the vlogger’s lack of oversight. One user tweeted, “The surprising thing is that the video was shot, edited, and then made public.” Another questioned his process, writing, “Does Sourav Joshi post videos like these intentionally or he doesn’t even recheck before posting? What was that camera angle bruh?”
The trolling escalated as some users accused him of exploiting his wife for engagement. A viral comment read in Hindi roughly translated to: “First Sourav Joshi earned money by hiding his wife’s face, and now he is earning money by putting up inappropriate videos of her.” Many viewers urged the creator to be more responsible, stating that he should have thoroughly checked the footage before uploading it.
